NMBWA is the regulatory authority responsible for monitoring nursing and midwifery education in this state. Under the Nurses and Midwives Act 2006, the Board is charged with the responsibility of providing advice on nursing and midwifery education to the Minister and to any other person or body involved in nursing and midwifery education.
In accordance with the provisions of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2006 and the Nurses Regulations 2007, any course conducted in Western Australia leading to registration as a nurse or midwife must be approved by the NMBWA.
