NMBWA is the regulatory authority responsible for monitoring nursing and midwifery education in Western Australia. Under the Nurses and Midwives Act 2006, NMBWA is charged with the responsibility of providing advice on nursing and midwifery education to the Minister for Health and to any other person or body involved in nursing and midwifery education.
In accordance with the provisions of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2006 and the Nurses Regulations 2007, any course conducted in Western Australia leading to registration as a nurse or midwife must be approved by NMBWA.
