There are currently two types of bridging courses that lead to registration.  One is a bridging program for nurses  and midwives who have completed their nursing or midwifery education overseas, and the other is a renewal of registration program for nurses or midwives who have not worked as a nurse  or midwife for five years or more.  This link will take you to information regarding English Language requirements.

Entry into one or other of these programs is subject to the nurse or midwife completing the application process for registration and obtaining from the Board a letter of eligibility that entitles them to commence the relevant program.

You will find links to the National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses, Midwives, Nurse Practitioners and Enrolled Nurses here.
