Has Your Registration Lapsed and You Wish to Restore Your Name to the Register?

A nurse or midwife seeking registration with NMBWA is required to provide NMBWA with a statement of service on letterhead from the last employer confirming dates of employment and nursing or midwifery position held in the last five years. Employment as a nurse or midwife in a country where English is not the first language fulfills the five-year practice requirement.

If you have not practiced as a nurse or midwife for five years or more you will be required to undertake and successfully complete an approved registration bridging program to be eligible for registration/restoration.

Application fee for Restoration to the register is $120.00 plus registration fee, for the correct amount that relates to your registration please telephone us (08) 9421 1100 or email info@nmbwa.org.au.

Please also refer to the Application for the Restoration to the Register Form .

For further information about approved programs, please refer to the Registration Bridging Programs section under Education & Research.
