Network Advisory Panel
The Panel comprises of expert nurses and midwives, or people from the public and private sector, who have specialist skills in nursing, midwifery, business and industry, and are committed to supporting and promoting the goals of NMBWA and the nursing and midwifery professions.
Why is the Panel Required?
Members of the Panel support NMBWA committees in decision-making by providing expert opinion as required on matters of significance to NMBWA. These committees may relate to corporate or professional governance, education or registration. In addition, members of the Panel are often selected to participate in steering committees for major projects or working parties to undertake specific tasks associated with project management.
How Do You Become a Panel Member?
There are a number of ways in which individuals can apply for membership to the Panel. An individual may approach NMBWA expressing a desire to become a member of the Panel, or NMBWAÂ Board members, the CEO and staff may approach nurses and midwives to consider applying for Panel membership.
In order to become a Panel member applicants are required to provide a CV to NMBWA and respond to criteria supported by professional references. Applications are reviewed and approved by the NMBWA Board.
