Welcome to the Nurses & Midwives Board of Western Australia (NMBWA)

Welcome to the Nurses & Midwives Board of Western Australia (NMBWA) website.

National Registration and Accreditation Update – Read More

NMBWA is an independent statutory body that regulates nursing and midwifery in Western Australia. In accordance with the WA Nurses and Midwives Act 2006, NMBWA is responsible for protecting the community by ensuring safe standards of nursing and midwifery practice. We achieve this through setting the standards in education, registration and professional conduct.
As an organisation, NMBWA staff value the principles of respect, integrity, justice, excellence, professionalism and accountability and we conduct all of our business based on these fundamental ideals.

Over the last few months, we have been working very hard at improving our on-line services and overall functionality of the NMBWA website. Changes such as introducing a new and faster on-line registration system, career profile pages as well as streamlining overall site navigation are just a few improvements and additions that have been implemented.

A news section featuring access to the latest information from state and national nursing and midwifery organisations hot off the press is also now available from our home page. As always, your feedback is important to us, so if you have any suggestions on how we can further enhance the NMBWA website – please
contact us.
